“Kikötők – Havens” is a collaborative documentary art project aiming to break away from stereotypes and preconceptions surrounding the Hungarian experience of leaving home. This collection of portraits, personal reflections, and creative expressions from over 30 individuals across Europe offers a new lens on the concepts of ‘abroad,’ ‘home,’ and ‘homeland.’
Through environmental portraits, video interviews, and musical collaborations, this project sheds light on the many lives shaped by journeys beyond our national borders. Here, the familiar meets the foreign, blending together in stories, paths taken, havens found, and identities formed.
