This event is designed to provide CEU students enrolled in the Visual Theory and Practice advanced certificate program the opportunity to present the projects they pursue for the VTP certificate. The purpose of the workshop is to give you the opportunity to maximise feedback from the core VSP team; to learn about each other’s work; and give peer feedback.

The workshop is designed for graduating students (MA1Y or MA2Y/year 2) who will prepare a brief presentation of their visual project focusing on the creative process. You will be allocated 10 minutes for your presentation followed by 10 minutes feedback and general discussion. Each of you will also be designated to give peer feedback on one other student’s work. This is a valuable exercise for both those giving and receiving feedback and and how to provide feedback on visual works that use other media than their own.

In preparation for the workshop you will be asked to prepare a short written statement addressing questions of method and concept related to your work (film synopsis, visual concept or thesis summary, max. 2 pg.). You shall submit these together with other relevant materials (sample chapter, film trailer/excerpt, visual essay, prototype etc.) one week before the meeting. This will give all participants the chance to read and learn about your work and familiarize themselves with different approaches and methodologies in the field.

Attendance and participation is required for students enrolled in the VTP program

Please confirm your participation by sending an email to vsp@ceu.edu with the title, presentation format (ppt/video/paper) and VTP supervisor.

Deadline for sending in your statements: May 5
Participants: All VTP Students, VTP Core and Affiliated Faculty
