Preceding the official beginning of the next academic year, zero week is there to provide guidance to newcomers on the wide variety of courses and programs on the CEU offer. In the course of the week, the unique cross-university initiative, Visual Studies Platform also introduces its profile and scope of activities on 12 September in the afternoon session between 3.30 and 5 pm in Auditorium B. Visual Studies Platform that now offers an advanced level certificate to students coming from various departments, is centered around the understanding of the role and nature of visual materials and fosters a multidisciplinary approach in their analysis. The 1,5 hour presentation & workshop on the Visual Theory and Practice Advanced Certificate (VTP) available to all students at CEU will include a short workshop on film analysis, where participants are invited to view and critique documentary films produced in past VTP courses.
