The Visual Studies Platform and CEU Library Media Hub are pleased to announce a call for submissions for film and audio projects to screen as part of CEU DOCS, our year-end celebration & showcase of student work. This year’s event will take place on May 17th at 18:00 at the Blickle Cinema in the Belvedere 21 Museum, and will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers/creators, and a reception in the Museum’s lobby. In addition, a slideshow of photos from CEU's "Unseen Perspectives" photo exhibition will be shown prior to the event and during the introduction. The event is open to the public and promoted to the CEU community and on the Belvedere’s website. Last year over 100 people attended.
Guidelines:
- Films or audio works produced as part of a CEU course, BA or MA, or thesis/capstone project are eligible to be submitted.
- The student submitting the project should be a principal team member, and should have completed it for course credit.
- Films should be 9 minutes or less, except for thesis/capstone projects. Audio projects can be of any length, but will be presented during the screening as a 90 second trailer (questions concerning these can be referred to Thomas Aichinger).
- A panel of faculty will select approximately 90 minutes of projects to screen.
The deadline to submit is April 18th.
