Call for Papers to the International Conference "Arts and the City"

Abstracts are invited for an international conference on arts and the city organised by Károli Gáspár University’s Institute of English Studies and the Institute of Philosophy at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Papers exploring various forms of art in the modern urban environment are welcomed. We are particularly interested in the portrayal of cities in literary texts, films, and the visual arts as well as the history of architecture, street art, and performing arts.

The CEU Library is organizing a documentary filmmaking workshop open to CEU PhD students, faculty and staff, and any other members of the CEU community not eligible to sign up for the for-credit CEU filmmaking courses that utilize the resources of the Library’s Mirabaud Media Lab, and who will apply the filmmaking skills learned in the workshop directly in their research or scholarly activities.

The workshop consists of seven sessions over eight weeks, on Mondays
